Have you heard of the rare phenomena
of Time Travelers? Or better yet, a
Time machine?
How fascinating would it be if we
could travel ahead in time? You can only imagine experiencing the unthinkable,
say 10 or 20 years ahead!
A world with holograms, driver-less cars, virtual shopping & to stretch our imagination a bit –
maybe even a fancy trip to & fro the moon!
While such a life seems far-fetched, factually we have already begun building towards it.
Let’s put
our power of imagination to test & take a trip ahead of time!
Welcome to
the Year 2026!
Turns out,
confluence of technology, socioeconomic changes, and workforce demographics has
collaborated to create significant developments for the workplace here.
Let's take a tour...
Voila …Remote working!
The good
is that you could choose to work from home if family, a broken-down car or lack
of transport links causes you problems. You could even work in your dream
country without actually having to move there. The only downside is that the expectation
now may be to be available for work at all times.
Anything & Everything is automated!
Between a
choice of smarter & multitasking robots and physically working employees
(humans), employers seemed to have opted for the obvious! Certain jobs have
been completely replaced by technology: why hire four people to do it when one smart
robot or two best competent people can? After all, Albert Einstein predicted it
right – “I fear the day that technology will surpass our human
interaction”
Let’s ride? No. More like let’s fly!
Flying
cars are very common occurrence here in 2026. Best still, people are working
towards conceiving a travel through teleportation! No more squeezing onto
overcrowded buses and trains, or sitting in rush hour traffic jams... Welcome to the world of lavish travelling!
Save time to…Spare some time!
Back in
2016 it was already harder with the invention of emails, personal computers and
Smart phones. Even after regular work hours or when one is ‘Out of Office’
email notices are on & it’s an addiction. Well in 2026, people have almost
bid goodbye to personal time, and welcomed the notion of working on your
commute. Well think of it practically….if your car can drives itself, then you
aren’t going to be sitting there doing nothing?
The pitfall!
More
people work and more that work is on screens, the more they suffer from weight
problems, eye problems or repetitive strain injury which, mind you had already
been stemming back in 2016.
It’s Work Olympics!
Thanks to
the Internet, one can already work for another country while residing at your
own. Fewer offices and people across farthest countries working together. Mind
you, the competition at individual level has now gone global. It’s an
intercontinental race!
Freelance is the new 9-5
Good news
for people who don’t like getting up early! Rather than being chained to a desk
for eight hours, you can modestly work for as long as you need to & only what
needs to be done.
Succeeding
the Gen X’s, Gen Y’s and Gen Z’s cohort, here is GEN ALPHA! As predicted by McCrindle
Generation Alpha - "the most formally educated generation ever, the most
technology supplied generation ever, and globally the wealthiest generation
ever".
Well
stepping back into reality, we agree that the surroundings are changing rapidly
& bringing us a whole set of new & exciting possibilities.
Unquestionably,
2026 guarantees a whole new world, and only the best at that.
